| On 9 AM，October 19 th ,2008,the 3rd National Numerical Control Skill Contest Finals opening ceremony was held in Dalian International Exihibition Square , which was taken charge by human resource ＆ social security committee , ministry of education ,ministry of technology , technology ＆ industry for national defense ,all-China federation of labor , and China machinery industry joint association. The contest also got the support of the people’s government of Dalian,and undertook by for four enterprises , which was held in multifunctional hall of Dalian world exhibition plaza.
National Numerical Skills Competition is world-wide championship，which is held every two years , till now , two of them have been successfully held . The competition will be held during October 16th 2008 to October 24th 2008 in Dalian.Three competition groups were set :working staff group , teachers group , students group . There will be three kinds of competition category in every competition group :numerical lathe worker , numerical milling machine worker , machining center operator（type of work），and therial knowledge ,CAD/CAM and NC processing simulation software application , and machine tool operation were included in every category according to the technology outline of national standard < Numerical lathe operator > , < Numerical Milling machine operator > , and < machining center operator > . All of the competitors are outstanding because they are all winners of preliminary contest in their province.
The guideline of the competition this year is “ highlight technical ability , highlight Dalian distinguishing features , highlight general participation ”.Compared with the past ones , this is the first time for Dalian to be the hosting place except Beijing . The competition of this year will definitely accelerate the development of the old industrial base in northeast China , promote the “Dalian made” competitive ability , and promote the regional economies advancement . Also , according to the fast development of national numerical technologies and the requirement of numerical skilled workers , it is the first time for the sponsor to collect practical test questions from the enterprise staff and teachers of skilled workers’ school , so that to improve the integrality and operability of the test questions .Besides , multi-spindle machining contract was included in the competition of both working staff group and teachers group.
In order to commend the excellent skilled competitors , the first 20 competitors in the finals will be awarded . In the group of working satt and teachers , the first 5 competitors will gain the honorary title of “ national skilled master-hand ”, also they can gain the opportunity for advancement. The first 6——20 competitors in every competition group in the finals will gain the opportunity for advancement and certificate . the companies and schools to which the awarded competitors belong will also gain the honorary title , medals and certificate of honor . Further more , the human resource and social security commettee will select some awarded skilled workers and invest with the special subsidy of the state council .
Not only the practical , academic and computer examinition will be held in the competition , but also numerical competition results show and numerical technology development forum will be held there .On behalf of Dalian general labour union , YNC labour union , and manufacturer division , we came to the contest and joined in the exhibition show and numerical technology development forum. It covers the area of 1000㎡ , including results show , numerical system show and nemerical training base show . In the result show area , lots of pictures ,sentences and part of awarded components were shown there , which mainly embodied the excellent social benefit of the past competition .The numerical system area was mainly used for the munufacturer propaganda. Numerical training base will show the acadamies which have devoted to the cultivation of numerical skilled workers .The speehes made by the invited experts ware as below:

It has beem 1 PM when the forum ended . The competition was still ruly going on . I wish them a good result . It is said that you can make it to the top in all walks of life, so the only way for us to be successful is to try our best to learn , to work , to make full use of our potential , and finally devote to YNC and the society.
